Tasting Notes

Nose – Sweet with coastal undertones while the rum cask influence introduces dried tropical fruit including banana, coconut shavings and Demerara sugar.

Palate – Gentle and refined; Molasses and apricots combine well with cured meats, tobacco leaf and old leather.

Finish – The long gentle finish reveals Caribbean jerk seasoning with cayenne pepper, cinnamon and black peppercorn present against a background of soft smoky embers.

Located in Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula which was once home to more than 30 working distilleries but currently down to just three, Springbank continues to use very traditional methods, with 100% of the production process carried out on site.
